Senior Leadership Team

Mrs Misra is the Principal at Repton Al Barsha. She is a passionate educator and STEM enthusiast.  She has worked in a variety of teaching contexts where she has significantly improved school outcomes and led on curriculum transformation. Chandini has worked as a senior leader in secondary schools from the state and independent sector, from challenging inner city schools in London and Leeds, to established independent schools in Sevenoaks and in Dubai; where she has taught Years 7 to 13. Chandini graduated from Keble College, University of Oxford where she read Chemistry (MChem) and has extensive experience with supporting university applications, GCSE options and A-level choices.

Mrs. Cunningham is the Head of Junior School at Repton Al Barsha. An experienced leader, she was previously Headteacher in one of the North of England’s most prestigious preparatory schools. This followed five years in a world-leading British boarding school in Jeju, South Korea, where she was Head of Junior School and became an NPQ facilitator. Hannah graduated from The University of Manchester as a Bachelor of Music and relishes the opportunity to share her passion for the performing arts with students.

Mrs. Cass started her teaching journey in 2004 and has a broad experience of both academic and pastoral roles at prestigious UK independent schools and in Dubai, most recently as the Director of Sixth Form at sister school, Repton Dubai. She is an upbeat and caring educator, focused on the wellbeing of the senior school pupils. She strongly believes in the values that the school helps its pupils develop over their school journey, both in and out of the classroom. She champions diversity and reflects that living in this wonderful cosmopolitan city gives our pupils a real advantage as they head into the wider world. Her enjoyment of this cultural melting pot, and being a keen Geographer, is also reflected by her love of travel and aim to explore as much of the World as possible

Mr. Fox has been in Primary Education for 15 years, starting as a class teacher in Key Stage 2 and has excellent knowledge of a variety of year groups. He has teaching and leadership experience of both state and private schools in the UK and internationally. He is a passionate educator having held key roles such Head of Physical Education, Head of Year and Head of Teaching and Learning. As Deputy Head Pastoral, he is responsible for the safeguarding of the children in the Junior School at Repton Al Barsha and the overall provision of Pastoral Care. He works closely with all members of staff to put the welfare and well-being of the children at the forefront of education.

Mrs Perry is a graduate of the University of York who embarked on her teaching journey with the educational charity Teach First which sparked her passion for inclusion. This enthusiasm for diversity led her to the role of SENCO and Inclusion Champion, successfully completing the NASENCO Award and becoming a Level 3 Designated Safeguarding Lead. She is a qualified art therapist who strongly believes that prioritising student and staff wellbeing is the key to success. Mrs Perry believes in collaboration between therapeutic providers, support services and parents and caregivers to enhance each child’s provision and access to education. She has worked in several prestigious UAE schools, leading on Inclusion and championing Students of Determination. She believes in quality first teaching and creating an enabling environment for all students to thrive.

Dr. Yousri is originally from Egypt and got his BA in Islamic Studies and Culture from Al-Azhar University in 2005. He also pursued his Master’s Degree in Islamic Studies and has completed his PhD. He started his career in 2006, working in Egypt with a number of institutes, colleges and schools as a teacher of Islamic studies and Arabic language before moving to the UAE. He joined Repton Al Barsha in 2021 as Head of the Islamic with the desire to develop the department and help students to understand the teachings of Islam.

Mr Asbury is the Assistant Headteacher, Senior School – Pastoral. He began teaching at Repton Al Barsha in 2016, designated as the Director of Sport, having previously worked in a number of prestigious independent schools in London and York, teaching pupils from Years 7 to 13. Mr Asbury graduated from Leeds Carnegie University, after studying Physical Education and considers sport as an inclusive method of empowering young people. Mr Asbury has a passion for holistic education and character development. He believes that education extends well beyond the classroom and focuses on creating an environment where pupils feel valued, confident and secure.
