Inclusion

Empowering Every Learner

At Repton Al Barsha, we are deeply committed to helping every pupil achieve their full potential. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where all pupils can thrive, regardless of their abilities or challenges. Recognising the unique needs of each pupil, we collaborate closely with families and external specialists to design bespoke support programmes that address academic, pastoral, or individual challenges.

Our highly skilled and qualified Inclusion Team works in partnership with staff and families to ensure that every pupil has access to the resources they need to succeed. From the start of each child’s journey, we implement a comprehensive assessment process to identify and provide the appropriate support for every individual. For pupils requiring tailored assistance, the Inclusion Team collaborates with key stakeholders to guide families towards high-quality, personalised provision.

We proudly follow the KHDA Dubai Inclusive Education Policy Framework (2017) while incorporating best practices from the UK’s SEND Code of Practice (2014) to ensure excellence in support and care.

Key Stakeholders Supporting Inclusion

  • British-trained and qualified Head of Inclusion

  • More Able, Gifted and Talented Coordinator

  • Speech and Language Therapist

  • Occupational Therapist

  • Trained and experienced Learning Support Assistants

  • We also benefit from strong partnerships with Educational Psychologists, Behavioural Analysts, Behavioural Therapists and Child Counsellors across Dubai.

Children of Determination

For children with identified needs or barriers to learning, we create a tailored Individual Education Plan (IEP), which sets clear and measurable targets. These targets are reviewed on a termly basis to ensure continuous progress. Parents play an essential role in this process, actively contributing to target-setting and being fully involved in all aspects of their child’s learning journey.

Provision is determined according to each child’s unique needs, with a commitment to regular review and assessment to ensure the support remains appropriate and effective. This provision may include in-class support from a Learning Support Assistant, targeted group intervention sessions, or one-to-one intervention with a specialist from Repton Al Barsha's dedicated team. We are committed to providing personalised, high-quality support to ensure every child can thrive.

More Able, Gifted and Talented

At Repton Al Barsha, we welcome pupils with a wide range of abilities, viewing each as an individual of great potential and value. Our aim is to create a secure yet stimulating environment that encourages all pupils to thrive and reach their full potential.

Guided by our More Able, Gifted and Talented Coordinator, we cater to the unique needs of our most able, gifted, and talented pupils through higher-order questioning, in-class challenges and extensions, and a variety of enriching extracurricular activities. We also provide opportunities for pupils to participate in external competitions and activities, ensuring they are consistently challenged and inspired to excel.

“Inclusion at Repton Al Barsha means every student is valued, supported, and empowered to succeed in a diverse and nurturing environment.”
