Our Vision for Digital Learning and Innovation
Digital learning at Repton Al Barsha connects pupils, parents, and teachers, enhancing the learning environment and fostering a close partnership between school and home. Parents gain real-time insights into their child's activities through photos, videos, and audio recordings, allowing them to engage in meaningful discussions beyond what can be captured in books. With ongoing digital feedback from teachers, rather than waiting for termly meetings, pupils experience faster progress, and learning becomes a collaborative effort between the school and families.
Our technology extends learning beyond the classroom, enabling collaboration with peers and experts worldwide. Recent projects have included working with Expo 2020, collaborating with native Arabic speakers, and engaging with scientists in the UK. These experiences help pupils gain new perspectives, develop empathy, and build the problem-solving skills needed for the future. Every teacher at Repton Al Barsha has completed the Apple Teacher programme, ensuring they are equipped to use technology creatively and effectively, transforming classrooms into interactive, engaging spaces where pupils thrive.
Apple Distinguished School
Repton Al Barsha's designation as an Apple Distinguished School places it among the world’s most innovative learning environments. By integrating Apple products, we inspire creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking, fostering curiosity and personalising the learning experience for each pupil. Our leaders and educators embody this vision, using technology to create engaging and dynamic classrooms that excite students about learning.
As part of this prestigious distinction, we actively share our successes with the global education community by collaborating with Apple teams and hosting school visits. These events allow us to showcase our innovative use of Apple products in teaching and learning, while continuously promoting innovation and progress in our technology-rich environment. Staff and students alike benefit from tools that enrich their educational journey in ways that go beyond traditional methods.
Leveraging Technology for Continuous Student Success
At Repton Al Barsha, our creative and reflective curriculum, supported by iPads, enhances formative assessment by enabling timely feedback on student work. Pupils use online quizzes and presentation apps to demonstrate their understanding and measure progress against learning objectives.
Our teachers have developed a digital skills matrix to assess students’ abilities and track their technological growth. Using the Apple Teacher LTS survey and child surveys, we monitor the impact of technology on behaviour, attitudes, and classroom practice. As a result, our Annual Summative performance data consistently shows significant student progress.
Our Vision for Future-Ready Learners
At Repton Al Barsha, our vision is to inspire a lifelong thirst for learning through a whole-school leadership approach that ensures creative, excellent, and personalised teaching. We nurture Reptonians to become happy, confident, and responsible individuals equipped with the 21st-century skills needed for their educational journey and beyond. Our pupils are collaborative global citizens, fully prepared for the connected digital world.
As technology evolves, we continually review and enhance our vision to ensure its effective integration across the school. Repton Al Barsha’s inclusive digital journey has made learning accessible to all, fostering responsible, independent, and safe learners. We actively engage with the community through forums and events, embracing technology to enrich learning and promote digital literacy.
Empowering Learning Through Apple Technology
Children collaborate using the full suite of Apple apps, working collectively in groups, with teachers and parents, and presenting via Apple TV. Combined with Showbie to deliver and store work, this reduces printing and positively impacts the environment. Our digital vision ensured we could continue delivering a full curriculum virtually during the pandemic, maintaining uninterrupted learning.
Students explore creativity across all subjects—using apps for virtual science investigations, AR models in maths, and bringing literature to life in English. Through Apple Classroom, teachers provide immediate feedback and offer support for SEN students, fostering independent learning. All staff are Apple Teachers, continuously refining their skills to keep education engaging and innovative.
